Here we are again at one of our favorite places to have a pint in the port, and great eats as well.
After the last pairing at Rising Tide featuring Pareidolia, and indulging amazing dishes prepared by executive chef Jeff Katz we had to reserve spots for the next one.
This pairing featured Persimmon Hollow Brewing Company the dream of two home brewers and best friends, Robbie Carelli and Andy Sistrunk. Based out of Deland and established in October of 2014, Robbie, Andy, and their team have the company motto “Drink Sensibly But Get Weird”, as they believe that craft beer should be fun, a little weird, and truly a work of art in every glass.
Chef Jeff is a true artist and goes into great detail with every brewery featured in the pairing at Rising Tide. Chef researched to find out that
Henry Addison Deland was a baking soda manufacturer from New York as well as the fact that Deland is the Sky Diving capitol of the word! That being said Chef Jeff created dishes incorporating baking soda and as he said and maybe not in exact words “A taste of the air skydiving” to pair perfectly with the awesome brewery based out of Deland.
The desert featured even paid homage to Stetson who was actually friends with Deland.
