I’m a huge fan of Reuben sandwiches and even a bigger fan of Pastrami Reubens. Doubles D’s has been on my radar for some time.
Recently my friend tagged me in a post on Facebook and it even made me want to visit more.
I finally had a chance to and went all out. You can check out the YouTube video above(please subscribe to our channel if you like it). I had both the pastrami Reuben and the traditional with corn beef.
I also had the Kapusniak, a polish soup with kielbasa and sauerkraut. The polish soup was warm and hearty with the tingly sourness of the kraut. The sandwiches each individually could feed an army.
After filming the video I had a chance to meet the owner of Double D’s David Danowski. He’s originally from New York so sticking to his roots he went with the Deli route.
Double Ds has been in business for close to 9 years. They were originally barbecue only, but due to changes and adjustments of the pandemic, they changed it up a bit.
They still carry some of their staple bbq items but have put more focus on deli-style foods. They do almost everything in-house, from pickles to kraut and even some cheeses.
If you are in the area or craving a solid pastrami sandwich Double D’s in Rockledge is the place to go.
