The Lobster Lady

While taking a mini staycation in Cape Coral we ventured to The Lobster Lady. Researching places to eat this was the only restaurant we decided we had to try. The Seafood Tower in all honesty is what made it appeal to us, that and well just being huge seafood fans. One of the biggest things with seafood is freshness, and knowing that this place is a market as well weighed in on our choice of the lobster lady. The fewer steps from the ocean to your plate the better the meal.

We joined some friends with all the kids in tow so had the chance to order and try an extensive amount of the menu. On top of that, it was Thursday and their special is half off appetizers, so we definitely got to have a good food tour of the menu.

Fried Lobster Bites

This was a quarter-pound handpicked lobster meat, cayenne pepper flour, sriracha, sweet citrus aioli scur. The menu says bites but these are full-on multiple bites needed junks of lobster Claw and meat.

Crabacado

This was ranted and raved about on multiple sites and reviews but honestly wasn’t to huge of a fan, it was tasty and done right just not really my cup of tea. It had a little kick to it but kind of seamed like cayenne pepper was just sprinkled over the dish.

Fried Gator Bites

7oz chunked filet, buttermilk, seasoned flour, sriracha garlic aioli. Always a crowd please for our family and being locals to gator country we know good gator bites. We always add a side of honey mustard because it goes perfectly with the bites.

WASABI TUNA DEVILED EGGS

Hard-boiled eggs, wasabi, wakame, tuna, cucumber, wasabi sauce, ginger, sesame seeds. This is by far one of the most interesting dishes I have ever tried. It was definitely a bombardment of textures on your palate when you bite into it. Just the uniqueness of this dish makes it worth trying and as a $7 appetizer if you are sharing not much risk of disliking it.

CAPRESE SALAD

Buffalo mozzarella, sliced tomato, fresh basil, pico de gallo, herb dressing, balsamic glaze.

FRIED CALAMARI

Rings and tentacles, parmesan cheese, marinara or Thai chili sauce, these were honestly just out of this world. Some of the best Calamari I have ever tasted.

Kids Meals-

Although just mac and cheese and chicken tenders you can’t help but appreciate pretty platting done for the little ones.

Drinks

We also tried some of their specialty drinks and we were very impressed with them, as well as some local craft beers including a Fort Myers IPA and the Lobster Lady Red Ale that were great.

LOVE YOU LONG TIME

Plum Vodka, Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice, Simple Syrup, Carbonated Sake, Mint

SMOKY BIRCH OLD FASHIONED

Buffalo Trace, agave nectar, wild moon birch liquor, bitters, served in a hickory-smoked glass.

THE SEAFOOD TOWER

We went with the largest one which is meant for 4-6 people and it was all we dreamed of and more.

Our tower had two hefty lobster, cocktail shrimp, gulf oysters, steamed middle neck clams, snow crab, Dungeness crab, surimi salad, cocktail sauce, mignonette sauce, lemon, drawn butter

Overall our food and the entire experience was amazing! Fresh tasty and cooked perfectly the drinks were also to die for service was top notch and we would highly recommend visiting lobster lady if you are in the Cape Coral area and looking for amazing seafood.
